From the union between the passion for nature of a convinced and militantenvironmentalist, Marilù and the professionalism of an agronomist with decades of experience in fruit and vegetables, Piero, the Casa degli Uccellini farm was born. In 2006 together they decided to give concreteness to their passionate discourses on the environment andhealthy crops, without the use of chemistry and they started looking for the right place. The choice fell on a beautiful terrain, surrounded by ash woods, with a breathtaking view and abandoned for decades now, on which insisted a small completely ruined farmhouse, located in the municipality of Martina Franca a 530 m of altitude in theRed earth of thePuglia. The challenge was and continues to be, to maintain unchanged the integrity of the territory, also from landscape point of view, trying to respect the vocation of the land.

This is why they opted for a production aimed attypical products of Puglia it's atancient varieties that are disappearing, indry farming (in the absence of water). Piero takes care of everything related to the farm and the choice ofproducts, all strictlybiological, ICEA certified, Marilù instead is dedicated toorganization of events, culinary experiments, and management of the organic farm. Their little daughter Ninetta enthusiastically takes care of the first reception of the guests, accompanying them in the visit to the farm.

Their mission, is to invite more and more people to the knowledge of agriculture andorganic food and let the guests of their farm live,an exciting dive into the simplicity and charm of peaceful country life.

From 2015 is activefamily organic vegetable garden in which the families participating in the project actively participate, sowing, working the land and collecting the product weekly for your own consumption.
